Summary:
Equinix will be undertaking a full replacement of the UPS B1 system at the SY1 data centre. This work is part of their ongoing UPS replacement program designed to ensure long-term reliability and minimise the risk of disruption to customer services.
Service Impact
Power Systems:
- All loads will remain on utility power throughout the activity.
- UPS-backed services will continue to operate on their primary UPS source.
- Redundancy will be reduced during the scheduled maintenance window.
Cooling Systems:
- Cooling redundancy will be maintained. No environmental impact is expected.
Additional Information:
Work will include the replacement of the UPS B1 system and associated batteries.
Maintenance activities are fully scripted and will be carried out by Equinix engineers with support from system vendors and service providers.
Only one UPS system will be worked on at a time to ensure operational stability.
No direct customer impact is expected, but reduced fault tolerance may exist during this period.
Customer Action:
No action is required. Services will remain operational and protected throughout the maintenance window. Equinix engineers will closely monitor all systems to ensure continued stability and service integrity.

Scheduled - Equinix will be upgrading the security access control system at SY4. During this period, you may experience delays when entering or exiting certain access points as card readers are upgraded throughout the site. All areas will remain secure, and every effort will be made to facilitate access through impacted areas.
